alqjtq2nrjaThe Best Hotel Near the Bethesda Metro:
Bethesda Court is a boutique hotel about 1.5 blocks from the metro station and offers the best rates amongst all the hotel options near the Bethesda Metro. Rates on average are below $200 for weekdays which is $20 less per night than the nearby Hyatt. Guests will receive FREE wifi and a grab n go breakfast. There is also a car service available for FREE on a first come first serve basis which will drive guests to destinations within 2 miles. Another perk people enjoyed was the Keurig machines in each room and tranquill courtyard outside. The drawbacks are that there is only a small gym room, no pool, and on several occasions guests commented about the small bathrooms. Guests sometimes remarked they felt the hotel was cozy and they did not feel like a number here, one guest pointed out parking is available for free on weekends at the garage across the street.

About the Bethesda Neighborhood

Hotels Near The Bethesda Metro Station
Move your mouse over image

Bethesda offers unparalleled dining options when compared to all other areas in DC. The population is affluent, and leans more toward families and older young professionals. The area is safe and an urban setting with suburban homes surrounding the downtown area. There are bars if you want to go out, but the main draw is the extensive restaurant options. Taste of Bethesda is a popular festival where all the restaurants offer samplers and there is music and crafts.

If you are staying in Bethesda for tourism expect to spend about 20 minutes on the metro to get to downtown DC (Metro Center Station). Because Bethesda sits on the Red Line you can get here from Union Station without transferring. Other popular stops on the Red line include Chinatown, the National Zoo and DuPont Circle. NIH is one short stop away from the Bethesda Metro Station. Bethesda sits on the interchange of 270 and 495 which makes it an easy location to maneuver in and out of DC without getting into too much in-town traffic.

Airport, AMTrak, MARC & VRE Access
BWI, Dulles and Reagan are not too close. Staying in Bethesda means you will need to start on the Red Line and then transfer lines to the Metro’s Yellow Line in order to get to Reagan National Airport. The metro ride is about 45 minutes. Dulles is just about as far as BWI. BWI can be reached by driving up 95, which is closer to Bethesda than most other areas in DC. If airport convenience is a priority don’t stay in Bethesda. The MARC and AMTrak can be boarded either at Rockville station or Union station on the red line. The closest VRE station is Union Station which is also the red line.
